A side by side comparison view of one of my reproductions (left) with an original flat cap from the 1920s (right) from my small collection.
The reproduction was made with a vintage novelty wool of an unknown period. The weight was similar to that of Harris tweed cloth. The colors and design make it a favorite piece of mine.

Young men in the early 20s
Full belted suits wear very popular among young men in the late 10s - early 1920s. These novelty designs where all the rage.
A cream 2 piece Crown Cap
1920s Reproduction of a 2 piece crown cap made from a vintage cream flannel blanket
I do love cream flannel and I had to make a cap when I saw it. I used a vintage flannel blanket in a great weight and texture that just sets the cap right.
It is finished with a yellow silk liner and contrasting green moire.
- Full leather sweatband
- United Carr Snap button
- Two Tone Liner
- 11 inch width
